Articles

I'm a fearless, seasoned general-assignment freelancer with a proven track record and versatile palette. I can tackle subjects with sensitivity, such as raising an emotionally healthy adopted child, or immerse myself in specialized fields, such as Web analytics. My background is in the home, but other specialties including health and wellness, parenting and pregnancy, travel, bridal and general business. I've interviewed CEOs and celebrities, including notoriously media shy James Gandolfini, as well as Gary Sinise, Paul Reiser, Adam Carolla, Larry the Cable Guy, Angela Bassett, Kevin Bacon, Mario Lopez and Martha Stewart, among others. I currently serve as the executive editor of two military consumer magazines, Salute and Family, so I know the importance of deadlines and details, and I hang around for revisions or fact-checks long after an article is completed. I also can handle a fast pace of multiple projects simultaneously. Some examples of my work:

Books

Good Girls Don't Get FatI have a knack for turning complex subjects and lengthy manuscripts into digestible and enjoyable text. As one reviewer said of Good Girls Don't Get Fat (Harlequin, October 2010), a non-fiction book authored by Dr. Robyn Silverman for which I served as the writer: "Good Girls Don’t Get Fat is a perfect example of a ‘scholarly’ style of work that has a great deal of knowledge and information to impart, yet the writing style is so engaging and flows so well that it reads like a book for pleasure rather than a book for learning."

Dr. Robyn Silverman, author of Good Girls Don't Get Fat (Harlequin, October 2010) had this to say in her acknowledgments about working with me:

"To Dina Santorelli, whose devotion to helping me with this project is apparent on every page of this book, I thank you for waking up early, going to bed late and treating my words as if they were your own. Your assistance was invaluable; your friendship, priceless. Thank you for urging me forward and helping me to realize that I was indeed bigger than this book, not the other way around."
